Father dies from trying to catch a foul ball at Rangers game

Rangers fan plummets after trying to catch a foul ball for his 4-year-old son. He dies one hour later from cardiac arrest.



Ironically, the victim was totally coherent following the accident. After his fall, the first words that came out of his mouth were, "Please check on my son. My son was up there by himself."

According to http://www.todayshow.com/, "The accident in Texas occurred in the second inning after Oakland's Conor Jackson hit a foul ball that ricocheted into left field. Josh Hamilton, the reigning AL MVP, retrieved the ball and tossed it into the stands."

Nolan Ryan, President of the team, says that the whole team is distraught, especially Josh, who threw the ball that essentially led to the victim's tragic death.

Wayland High Football Player allegedly murders girlfriend of three years: horrific and disturbing

I'm watching the Today Show this morning, and I was taken back by a story that truly disturbed me.

It was like a cheesy horror movie, that you never think could happen in real life.

Here we have your ideal high school duo. Star football player alongside his long time, gorgeous girlfriend.

As a talented and promising young woman with dreams of being a fashion designer, Lauren Astley's "partially submerged" body was found in a marsh by a traveling bicyclist this past Monday.

Can you imagine?

According to http://www.bostonherald.com/, "Lauren Astley had a “gaping, significant and horrific” wound to her neck, [along with a bungee cord wrapped around her neck as well] prosecutors said." She was spotted by Route 27 in Wayland, Boston.

The bungee cord that was allegedly wrapped around her neck was also found in Fujita's garage, along with blood soaked sneakers and clothes. Prosecutors also say that there was a significant amount of blood, as well as a clear attempt to conceal it.

Why?

"Prosecutor Lisa McGovern said Fujita and Astley had dated for three years, but Astley had recently ended the relationship," (http://www.metrowestdailynews.com/).


So, all the clues here lead to one thing... this horrific murder was inspired by a break-up. A BREAK-UP?! The scary thing is, Nathaniel Fujita had NO criminal record. No past of violence. This couple was together for 3 years. Common knowledge tells us that you know someone pretty well after three years. Clearly, that isn't the case.


After work on Sunday night, she was planning on visiting Fujita, possibly to clear things up.


She never came home.


Through tears and obvious heartbreak, her father's parting words with the press were:


“If you have children,” Astley said, “treasure them.”

 If we can learn anything from this case, it's that as much as you think you may know someone, you really don't. However, always watch for any signs of violence. Never put yourself in a vulnerable situation, or at least try not to. You do not want to end up like Lauren, whose family and friends are permanently destroyed. Her father now has to live with the thought and image of his daughter being tortured and brutally murdered.


Such a sad ending for such a promising, beautiful young woman.

Casey Anthony GUILTY of Providing False Information, but INNOCENT of MURDER

Proof beyond reasonable doubt... was not found.

However, she was convicted of providing false information to law enforcement officers. AKA, lying.

The evidence that follows, did not suffice:

• Hair binding, human composition, and traces of chloroform found in Anthony's car.
• Google searches of the terms "neck breaking" "Chloroform" and "death."
• The Heart shaped stickers found at the scene of Caylee's body, also found in her house.
• Diary entry that said:

The following diary entry by Casey Anthony is dated "June 21" and reads:

I have no regrets, just a bit worried. I just want for everything to work out OK. I completely trust my own judgment and know that I made the right decision. I just hope that the end justifies the means. I just want to know what the future will hold for me. I guess I will soon see – This is the happiest that I have been in a very long time. I hope that my happiness will continue to grow– I've made new friends that I really like. I've surrounded myself with good people – I am finally happy. Let's just hope that it doesn't change.^[57]

• Traces of duct tape found on nose and mouth of Caylee.
• Clubbing and going out while Caylee was missing.
• Accusing her father of sexual abuse.

HOWEVER:

According to the New York Times,
"Investigators found no trace of DNA or solid signs of chloroform or decomposition inside the trunk of Ms. Anthony’s car, where prosecutors said Ms. Anthony stashed Caylee before disposing of her body." Key word: SOLID. There was no SOLID PROOF. Same goes for the fact that the prosecutors did not give a SOLID explanation for Caylee's reason of death.

The jury followed the rules of the judicial system. Was it flawed? On who's part? Why was her body decomposing for six months before they actually found her?

"The prosecution was also hurt by the fact that nobody knows exactly how Caylee died; her body was too badly decomposed to pinpoint cause of death," http://www.nytimes.com/.

Strauss-Kahn gets screwed... no pun intended

Now that we know that the crazy hotel maid's lacking credibility and alleged prostitution ruined her case against Dominique Strauss-Kahn, we can't help but feel sorry for him, right? Well the problem with accusing someone of rape is that there is always that "what if," in my opinion. It's like a bad tattoo. Seeing as he is trying to run for office, I can just see it now... Slander campaign: "Strauss-Kahn: Accused of Rape. Is this who you want as your President?" Ironically, Strauss-Kahn has a 49% approval rating. The French are actually urging him to run for President.

However, we can't be too hopeful.

Here's the downside of an VERY wealthy man getting accused of rape... People start coming out with their own accusations. Right after his bail conditions were dropped and he was freed from isolation, another woman claims she was raped.

According to the New York Times, "The novelist, Tristane Banon, 32, claims that Mr. Strauss-Kahn tried to rape her in 2003, and said that she remained silent on the advice of her mother, a prominent Socialist." Essentially, she decided to keep mum, but when she heard of his other accusation, she decided to come out. Her defense? She says that she didn't say anything for years because, “It is very hard for every woman in this case. People are asking you to say what happened minute by minute, while you have only one wish: to forget minute by minute what happened," says Banon.

Her description of the incident according to www.nytimes.com: "Ms. Banon offered a graphic account of her alleged encounter with Mr. Strauss-Kahn in 2003, saying he grabbed her in a nearly empty apartment as she was interviewing him and dragged her to the floor, pulling off some of her clothes and forcing his hand into her underwear. She said she escaped by kicking him desperately."

 If he really did rape these women, then he deserves to rot in jail. However, if he didn't, those women deserve to rot in jail. Not only are they slandering his name and potentially ruining his chance as president, but they are bringing to light a VERY sensitive subject; one that should not be toyed with.

What about his wife, though? Anne Sinclair, popular journalist and wife of Strauss-Kahn stands by her man, claiming she has no doubt that he is innocent.

No Make Up/ Kendrick Lamar: The beat is initially what lured me into the song... The soft rock chorus gives it an interesting twist. Loving Kendrick Lamar right now!



Gon' Be OK/ Lil B: The song opens with Obama's voice and his speech on "change." Sets the tone for inspiration. Great beat with the incorporation of the piano and wind instruments. I don't know much about Lil B, but this song put me on him.



Finer Thangs/ Pimp C, Slim Thug, Brooke Valentine: I just love the beat of this song. Lyrics, okay. Good to hear from Pimp C. and Slim Thug.



T.I. ft. B.o.B/ We Don't Get Down Like Y'all: Catchy song. Not the best T.I. song in a lyrical sense, but the collab with B. o. B. is dope!



J. Holiday/ Freakin' You: This is my sexy song of the day. I hear flashbacks to "Bed" in this song... that was the r&b anthem a couple of years ago! It's good to hear from J. Holiday again. "Keep your heels on, toes up to the chandelier while I enter your stratosphere..." WHOAAAAAAAAA!



Tory Lanez/ Violins: Now we have my Tory Lanez song of the day. I have a lot of respect of the young and talented. I appreciate the fact that his songs are very multidimensional. Whether it's with the beats, or his ability to rap and sing in the same song. His lyrics in this song are clever.



Cory Gunz/ Outta My Mind: I love listening to Cory Gunz' voice. He has such a unique sound. This song has crazy lyrics. It gets you pumped. He's one of the better artists in YMCMB, in my opinion.



It Ain't Over Till it's Over: This song just brings back good memories... Mary J, Fabo and Jadakiss. I love the collaboration. I hear trademark sounds from each of the artists.



Gangsta of Love: Yelawolf and Cyhi. It goes hard. Explicit though. I'm not a big fan of songs with too many bad words. It's distracting to me. But this track is tolerable.
